Raw Cannabis contains a lot of THCA, which is medicinal but not psychoactive… When you heat cannabis past a certain temperature, the THCA molecule loses its carboxylic group (COOH) in the form of water vapor and carbon dioxide. This is the process of THCA converting into THC.

Long story short, THCA becomes THC when heated properly and THEN your Cannabis becomes fully active.

This process is called decarboxylation or decarbing.

  1. Can you do a video on how to Decarb shatter/wax. Ive been decarbing it in the oven for 15-20 minutes at about 225-F but would like to know if i should keep it in for longer or a higher temp

  2. I decarb my weed in the oven at 225 for an hour before adding it to coconut oil for at least another 3 hours. After straining I capsulize. 1 capsule for my wife is all she can tolerate but for myself 2 or 3 capsules gives a very strong high.
